RED TORY launch at Studio Voltaire London
April 25, 2019

We were extremely happy to partner with Studio Voltaire for the launch Spitzenprodukte’s 'Red Tory: My Corbyn Chemsex Hell'. A huge crowed joined us for readings by the author, in addition to leading writers and poets Juliet Jacques, Ashkan Sepahvand, Linda Stupart and Timothy Thornton. Studio Voltaire had their Oscar Wilde Temple on display - a setting which could not have invented any better for the launch of Red Tory. Twenty years in the making, The Oscar Wilde Temple was a wholly immersive work of art and secular space honouring one of the earliest forebears of gay liberation whilst commemorating contemporary LGBTQ+ martyrs and those lost to the AIDS crisis.

About the contributors: Juliet Jacques is a writer and filmmaker based in London. Jacques has published two books: Rayner Heppenstall: A Critical Study (Dalkey Archive, 2007) and Trans: A Memoir (Verso, 2015).
Ashkan Sepahvand is an author, translator and researcher. His work and collaborations have been presented at dOCUMENTA (13), the Gwangju Biennial 11, the Sharjah Biennial X and XIII, ICA London and the KW Institute for Contemporary Art Berlin.
Linda Stupart is an artist, writer, and educator. Their debut novella, Virus, was published in 2016, and their work has been presented at Matt’s Gallery, Tate, The Showroom, the ICA, Gasworks, and Guest Projects in London.
Timothy Thornton is a writer, composer, pianist, and teacher, based in Brighton. His books of poetry include Water and Burning Effects On/Off(Shit Valley, 2015) and Broken Slat From Starling (The Winter Olympics, 2015).
